Rwanda Revises Green Growth Strategy (The Electricity - Wednesday, 9 June 2021) -- The Rwandan Ministry of Environment intends to revise the Green Growth, and Climate Resilience Strategy (GGCRS) developed ten years ago. The Government of Rwanda and UNDP Rwanda Launch a Retrofit Electric Motorcycles Project (REMA - Friday June 11, 2021) -- Kigali, 10 June, 2021- The Government of Rwanda in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) launched a project to put more electric motorcycles on Rwanda’s roads. The project aims to gradually phase out the use of traditional petrol-powered internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycles by converting them to electric bikes, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. Read more
